This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
While using Our Service, We may ask You to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify You. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
While using Our Application, in order to provide features of Our Application, We may collect, with Your prior permission:
We use this information to provide features of Our Service, to improve and customize Our Service. Photos and related data may be stored on your device only, or uploaded when AquaDeck Pro or eligible welcome-access cloud sync is enabled, consistent with the Aquarium Data section below.
You can enable or disable access to this information at any time, through Your Device settings.
After you create an AquaDeck account, we may enable Pro-level features (including cloud sync of aquarium data) for a limited "welcome access" window tied to your account, typically from account creation until the date shown in the Application (approximately thirty days). During that window, processing may resemble an active AquaDeck Pro subscription. When welcome access ends without an active paid subscription, the Application may enter read-only mode: you can browse a limited view of your synced data and use calculators, but editing and full Pro features require a subscription or restored purchase.
The Application allows You to create and manage aquarium-related data including:
If you are outside welcome access (as shown in the Application) and do not have an active AquaDeck Pro subscription, the Application may show read-only access to cloud data you previously synced (typically your most recent tank), while new edits and cloud sync require a subscription. Data that exists only on your device may remain in local storage for corresponding features.
With an active AquaDeck Pro subscription — or during welcome access while Pro-level cloud sync is enabled — your aquarium data may be stored using Google Firebase (including Firestore) to synchronize and back up across your signed-in devices. This data is associated with your AquaDeck account.
If You purchase a Pro subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to Your credit card information or payment details.
We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives Your subscription status and user identifier to determine which features You have access to. RevenueCat does not have access to Your payment information.
We employ third-party companies and services to facilitate our Service, provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to Your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
We use Google Firebase Authentication for signed-in accounts. We use Firebase Cloud services (such as Cloud Firestore) to store aquarium and related sync data while you have an active AquaDeck Pro subscription or eligible welcome access with cloud sync enabled. Firebase may process your email address, user ID, device tokens used for messaging where applicable, and your aquarium-related content you choose to sync. Sign in with Google uses Google OAuth and is subject to Google's privacy policy.

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and Pro feature access. RevenueCat collects your user ID and subscription status to determine feature entitlements.

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. All payment information is handled directly by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details. When you use "Sign in with Apple", Apple may share your name and email address (or a private relay email) with us solely for authentication purposes.

In-app purchases and subscriptions on Android are processed through the Google Play Store. All payment information is handled directly by Google. We do not have access to your payment details.

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
If you use the Application without AquaDeck Pro and outside eligible welcome-access cloud syncing, aquarium data subject to local-only modes remains on your device. We do not sync that strictly local cache to Firebase for backup. If you delete the app or clear app data, device-only copies may be permanently lost unless you exported them.
With an AquaDeck Pro subscription — or during welcome access when cloud sync for aquarium data is active — your data may reside on Google Firebase infrastructure (e.g. United States or other regions Google operates). That enables backup and use across signed-in devices.
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you cancel Pro, retention and editable access depend on the Application behavior; resubscribing may be required for full cloud-linked features again. Delete your account in Settings to request removal of associated cloud data where applicable.
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
For Pro subscribers, using the "Delete Account" function will permanently remove all your data from our cloud servers, cancel your subscription access, and delete your authentication credentials.
You may also contact Us at aquadeck@rmdigitalenterprise.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that You have provided to Us.
Please note that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).
The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information:
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We only share your data with the third-party service providers mentioned above (Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple/Google) to the extent necessary to provide and improve our Service.
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
To exercise these rights, contact us at aquadeck@rmdigitalenterprise.com
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Us at aquadeck@rmdigitalenterprise.com. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States (via Google Firebase) and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
